Tarleton Libraries: Year(s) in Review

You may have heard about the Library Chronicles but do you know what it is?

Library Chronicles is a newsletter magazine published annually by the library's Marketing and Outreach Committee which spotlights events and happenings that have occurred within the library for the specific newsletter's year. Basically, if you've ever wondered what goes on at the library you can find the answer within the Library Chronicles' pages.

The newsletter contains interesting facts about the library and its staff members as well as fun images of events that happen on all the Tarleton campuses.

Off-campus library services

Did you know that the Dick Smith Library offers a variety of services for off-campus Tarleton students, faculty, and staff?

Just because you are taking classes online or are located at another campus, the library can assist you with your research needs.
We offer:

• Reference assistance online, by phone (254-968-9249), or by fax (254-968-9467).
• Access to online resources, many with full-text articles.
• TexShare Cards
• Interlibrary Loan (ILLiad) for requesting books, articles, videos, etc.
• Courier service of library materials to Fort Worth, Killeen, Waco, and Weatherford (every Tuesday and Thursday).
• Qualified users can register with the library to receive home/office delivery of library materials.

Library Off-Campus/Distance Learning Services

Are you a student taking classes online or off-campus?

Even though you don’t come to campus for class, the library can still help you with your research needs. Reference services are available through a variety of methods:

Online Reference: Submit your research questions via email directly to a reference librarian through the “Ask a Librarian” service at http://www.tarleton.edu/~library/askaref.html or email reference@tarleton.edu.

Phone: If you need assistance over the phone, call 254-968-9249 or TOLL-FREE at (866) 339-5555. Reference librarians are available to answer your questions during regular library hours.

Fax: Fax your reference questions to 254-968-9467.

Online Access: You can access the Library’s online resources via your Tarleton network account 24/7.

Need books? You can borrow library materials housed in our library or libraries around the country via Interlibrary Loan (ILLiad) .

We will deliver materials to your home/office if you qualify and register with the library as a Distance Learner. Items will be delivered with a postage paid return label.

Are you taking classes in Fort Worth, Killeen, Weatherford, or Waco? Take advantage of the university courier. We can send materials requested through your ILLiad account to you via the campus courier. The courier picks-up and delivers materials to these campuses each Tuesday and Thursday.
