Read Posters
Each year the Dick Smith Library selects two organizations or individuals
who embody at least one of Tarleton’s Core Values. They are invited to
pose with their favorite books for our READ posters.

Have you heard the news?
Last Wednesday the library hosted its fifth annual READ event, revealing the Tarleton
Aeronautical Team and the Collegiate FFA as this year's lucky groups to be included in the library's READ posters.
Each year, the library selects two outstanding groups/individuals from the Tarleton community to participate in promoting reading and literacy. Participants appear in posters with some of their favorite books. The participants and posters are kept secret until the big reveal during National Library Week.
If you didn't get a chance to stop by the reveal party, you still have time to enjoy the posters! Stop by the library's Administration Office in the upper level to get a close up view of the full sized posters. You can still snag free mini-posters at the Circulation desk on the main level, which also include information about the organizations on the back.

READ Posters Revealed Today
Today at 1:30, the Dick Smith Library will reveal who is on
this year’s READ posters. The READ posters, first begun in 2010, are part of
the Dick Smith Library’s celebration of National Library Week. The posters feature
individuals or groups that are part of Tarleton’s history and traditions or an
iconic image of Tarleton.
Past honorees are Dr. F. Dominic Dottavio and the Purple Poo
(2010), Texan Battalion ROTC cadets and the Tarleton Players (2011), the TSU
Plowboys and the Texan Rider (2012).
Come by the library at 1:30 for the unveiling,
enjoy some refreshments, and have your picture taken for your own READ poster.
