World Book and Copyright Day takes place on April 23 in many parts of
the globe. It's a day that promotes reading and publishing that's been
celebrated worldwide since 1995 but goes back to the late 1920s in
Catalonia. It is sponsored by the United Nations Educational Scientific
and Cultural Organization.
