What's a Twit'stagram? 5 Days Until the Contest!

You've probably heard of Twitter and maybe even Instagram....but have you heard of Twit'stagram?

The Dick Smith Library is holding a contest starting Monday, April 15th which incorporates both Twitter and Instagram to participate.

The contest is simple:

1) Pick a category: "What I love about the Library" and/or "My Favorite Reading Material"

2) Take out your smart phone, iPad, or other device capable of Instagram and snap a photo to demonstrate the category.

3) Make sure you post it to Twitter with the hashtag #TSULibLovers or #TSUREAD and mention the Library's Twitter account, @TarletonLib

4) You're entered in the contest! But wait, be sure to keep an eye out on our Facebook page to see if your image was selected to be voted on for the winner. Recruit your friends to "Like" the Library's Facebook page and then "Like" your photo. The final vote is in YOUR hands!

5) We'll announce the winner on Friday, April 26th @ noon. If you're the winner, be sure to come photo op ready! :)

A question - if you don't use Instagram, is there still a way to enter the contest? I haven't tried to post a picture to Twitter - is there another way to do that besides using Instagram?

Thanks!

Hi Amanda,

You could enter the contest by taking a picture, saving it to your computer, then inserting it into your tweet by clicking the little camera icon that appears when you click on the tweet text box. I hope this helps! *Remember to include the hashtag and the library's twitter username so we will be notified that you wish to enter the contest.
