There has been a reorganization and a few changes in the Tarleton Libraries staff since the last update in January. Effective September 1, Trudy Carlson is now Associate Director for Library Services. Her former position becomes the Assistant Director for User Services, and Jennifer Barrera was promoted into it, with Reference, Outreach/Instruction, Access Services, and Special Services reporting to her. Tracy Holtman has been named Assistant Director for Collection Management, with Acquisitions, Cataloging, Periodicals, and Library Systems reporting to her.
Some staff members have new titles and responsibilities as a result of the reorganization, effective September 1. Amanda Pape is Coordinator for Archives and Special Services, and Jodie Baker is Coordinator for Reference Services.
Christy Singleton received a masters degree in library science last month. Her former position was eliminated, and she was moved into the position of Reference Librarian, effective September 1. Also effective this day, Kim Resendez becomes the new Interlibrary Loan Specialist, after the retirement of Kris Hendon at the end of June.
Chris Grantham was promoted to a Technology Support Specialist I. We also have a new staff member starting on Labor Day - Amy Castillo is our new Periodicals Librarian. Watch for a future post introducing Amy.
