The
Portal to Texas History is a great resource for Texas history and genealogy materials. Photographs, maps, newspapers, yearbooks, documents, and other materials from Texas libraries, museums, archives, historical and/or genealogical societies, and private family collections have been digitized and indexed in this free online database.
One of the collections is that of our very own
J-Tacs from 1919 through 2007. You can search for a name and it will be highlighted on the pages of the issues in which it appears.
The Portal also has some great "
Resources 4 Educators," including lesson plans and other learning materials for teachers and students.
